The following reports record Lynne's progress with pendulum dowsing.

She began her experiment tentatively, about 18 months ago. She was feeling at that time that although she'd been sitting as a regular and trusted supporting sitter within the Bristol Spirit Lodge circle, almost since it's founding, and had been watching others make progress towards the development of physical mediumship, she herself appeared to have been 'left behind'. After a chat with Chris, and a suggestion from FC that dowsing may be trialled, this is the path she subsequently took.

Now, about 18 months later, clear progress and development has been made. Very recently, whilst Lynne has been sitting in the lodge, within the Spirit Chamber circle, the medium, Jerry, has enabled the transfiguration and presentation of three of Lynne's regular communicators. Two of these...Henrietta and Thomas, are spirit guides (not known to her oin life) who communicate with her through the pendulum. As validation of their reality of existence

Henrietta presented through the seated medium (Jerry) with one hand stroking 'her' cheek. This area of Lynne's face 'tingles' whenever Henrietta communicates through her pendulum. No-one knows of this aside from Lynne herself. Last evening Thomas presented similarly through Jerry, this time indicating his use of hands. Thomas, Lynne and Chris both know, works through Lynne in support of Reiki healing....which is another of Lynne's interests. The third of Lynne's communicators to present through Jerry is Maurice, who is Lynne's partner's father. Maurice is readily recognised by Lynne and Chris also, as he has similar appearance to his son.

Although crystal dowsing is not considered to be physical mediumship, the fact that three of Lynne's communicators have appeared presented through a physical Medium deserves acknowledgement.

Lynne's continuing dedication to the Bristol Spirit Lodge circle is much valued and appreciated.

OPENING THE DOOR TO COMMUNICATION WITH SPIRITS

Having sat with dedication within the Bristol Spirit Lodge Circle for two years, Lynne had noticed that; whereas most regular sitters developed their own methods of mediumship over time, her own abilities seemed frustrating dormant. All she'd felt was some tingly feelings around her hair line, and perhaps also to one side of her neck, but this wasn't assured. As she wished to experience more than this, she turned to Chris for support. Together they set out to encourage Spirit to come forward for Lynne.

Initially Chris suggested for Lynne to sit in a certain chair for a pre-decided length of time that felt comfortable. Then to maybe sit in this manner once or twice each week...perhaps with music being played.

Lynne soon became settled into this routine. She would sit quietly, with a candle lit, and with her chosen music playing, for about half an hour at first, and then extended her sitting for awhile longer when it suited her. She would open and close her sitting sessions with a prayer, similar to the one spoken familiarly within the Spirit Lodge seances.

After a few months of this pattern becoming established, Lynne came to Chris to say that she felt as if her hands were lifting, or moving, independently of her control. So Chris suggested that Lynne might cause further progress to be made if she were to sit at a table, with some paper and a pencil in front of her. This suggestion might enable spirit to 'come forward' to control written word. Neither Chris nor Lynne had any expectation of success of this experiment...it was just to be lightheartedly trialled.

Again, in a month or so, Lynne reported that, when sitting as usual, the table upon which the paper was rested seemed to tilt. This caused her reading glasses, that had been laid upon the table, to fly off across the room. Oddly, she said, the pencil, although slightly moved from its original placement, had not fallen off the table. At this point Lynne requested a 1-2-1 sitting with Chris so as to receive a second opinion regarding her potential development.

Chris therefore sat alone with Lynne, and during this sitting felt certain that Lynne's hands did indeed move involuntarily, and became lifted. She also felt that Lynne's developmental progress was slowly becoming apparent, and gave encouragement for Lynne to continue the good work.

Very shortly after this FC (the spirit guide who works with Chris in support of the Bristol Spirit Lodge Circle project) suggested crystal dowsing to her. Chris has never been interested in such 'lighter' forms of mediumship; but in her usual manner showed her customary support of the Circle project by making a move to keep FC happy! She therefore found six identical small gift boxes and placed a small item in each of them...and then proceeded to ask the pendulum to 'find the key' hidden within one of the boxes. She tried this three times without success; before losing interest!

As is the way with Spirit, the small gift boxes were produced within the Circle for other sitters to try their hand at crystal dowsing. Lynne being one of the sitters to whom this presentation was offerred. She immediately displayed enthusiastic interest, and returned home to make her own trials.

Lynne soon felt that she was having some success with her crystal pendulum...seeming to receive fairly consistent 'Yes' and 'No' responses to simple questions. As her interest in this experiment increased, her questions became more complex and the response to them seemed to become more stable.

Lynne has now decided to offer her findings towards others, who might also enjoy carrying out their own trials.
